COMMUNITY VERIFICATION METHOD

How PromoNomy reviews community offer reports

This page explains how checkout reports and optional screenshots are received, protected, reviewed and summarized without treating community evidence as FARFETCH confirmation.

What users can submit

A report records whether an offer worked, partly worked, did not work or could not be verified, together with the market, currency, channel, customer status, basket type and other relevant checkout conditions. A screenshot is optional.

Review and duplicate control

Submissions remain private while security and moderation checks are pending. Idempotency, rate limits, session signals and duplicate-image checks reduce repeated or abusive submissions. Only approved reports may enter public totals.

Screenshot protection

Original images stay in private storage. Metadata is removed during safe re-encoding. A separately reviewed and redacted derivative may be published only when the user gave permission; payment, identity, account and order details must not be public.

What becomes public

Public cards may show an anonymous structured summary, the observed shopping conditions, report and review dates, and an approved redacted image. Pending, rejected or quarantined reports, original images and user identifiers are never public.

Statistics and offer versions

Current totals use reviewed, deduplicated reports for the same offer, rule version and market across that version’s valid dates. Reports from older or expired versions remain separate. Could-not-verify reports do not count as worked or failed, and small samples do not produce a success-rate claim.

Limits of community evidence

A report describes one account, basket, market and point in time. It is not an official FARFETCH confirmation, cannot guarantee another checkout result and never automatically replaces official terms or PromoNomy’s editorial findings.

Deletion and permission withdrawal

A submitter receives a temporary edit credential. During the permitted period, the report can be corrected or deleted, and permission to publish evidence can be withdrawn. Withdrawal removes any public derivative without turning the event into another submission.

Independence and affiliate disclosure

Community reports are separate from Used today and affiliate-click statistics. PromoNomy may earn commission from qualifying purchases, but commission, outbound clicks and report volume do not determine offer status or ranking. PromoNomy is independent from FARFETCH.
